Our Story

How It Started

The Be Home was born out of the desire to share stories of simplicity and ease, collections of moments and past traditions, time spent drying clothes on the line, reading a book under an oak tree, walking on cobblestone streets and exploring sunlit meadows and gardens. The Be Home is infused with core values of slow living from Northern Italy, Southern Costa Rica and Central Florida.

“You need a village, if only for the pleasure of leaving it. A village means that you are not alone, knowing that in the people, the trees, the earth, there is something that belongs to you, waiting for you when you are not there.”

About The Founder

Valentina was born and raised in Northern Italian wine country. Some of her fondest childhood memories were formed on her family farm, playing barefoot in sunlit courtyards, running through hazelnut fields, eating honey by the spoonfuls, harvesting grapes, collecting eggs in the early mornings and baking bread at night in the community oven.

Evoking the values associated to these memories is Valentina’s drive behind The Be Home, which was born to give an experience of peace, untouched nature and a safe refuge from the stress of modern day life.
